Description

Hasta hace poco más de cinco siglos no existió en Occidente ningún libro impreso, de ahí que el único medio para guardar un texto o difundirlo fuese la copia manuscrita. En la Edad Media esta tarea fue llevada a cabo, en un principio, en los scriptoria monásticos y más tarde en las cancillerías regias. Monjes y escribanos se entregaron así al laborioso trabajo de copiar códices y diplomas, siguiendo muchas veces un proceso largo y dificultoso que dejaba secuelas físicas, como podemos leer en los colofones dejados por algunos amanuenses en sus obras.  

El objetivo de este taller es disfrutar con una disciplina que nos permitirá sumergirnos en el arte de la caligrafía y en la recuperación de las formas de escritura del pasado, valorando el trabajo de quienes fueron sus artífices.

Contenidos  

El taller de caligrafía que presentamos tiene un nivel de iniciación y está dirigido a todo tipo de público. Su objetivo es introducir a los alumnos en la escritura de estilo carolingio de los siglos IX-X.  

Se instruirá a los alumnos en el aprendizaje de las letras minúsculas, mayúsculas y capitulares decoradas. Todos los ejercicios se realizarán con distintos instrumentos caligráficos: plumillas metálicas, lápiz y pinceles, con tintas y gouache, y se copiarán varias frases literarias y musicales. Se trabajará sobre los textos de notables manuscritos carolingios de la biblioteca de la abadía de Saint Gall, una de las más antiguas e importantes de toda la Edad Media y cuyo scriptorium fue uno de los más reconocidos. Un buen ejemplo es el Antifonario Hartker, copiado allí y obra gráfica maestra por la escritura, la notación neumática y las iniciales decoradas. Igualmente, se trabajará sobre capitulares de otros manuscritos relevantes de estilo carolingio custodiados en Saint Gall.  

Durante el taller, se realizará una sesión conjunta (tres horas aproximadamente) con los alumnos del taller de música antigua, que dirige la profesora Paloma Gutiérrez del Arroyo, para que tanto copistas como cantores vivan las experiencias de cantar y copiar una misma pieza.

Inscripciones y matrículas    

  • Matrícula ordinaria: 210 €
  • Matrícula reducida: 190 € (estudiantes menores de 27 años, Amigos del Patrimonio, Amigos del Románico y quienes hayan realizado el Taller de Caligrafía Medieval de 2023 o 2024).    
    • En los casos de matrícula reducida se deberá adjuntar con el boletín de inscripción un documento acreditativo de su situación: copia del carnet de estudiante junto con DNI o carnet de alguna de las asociaciones arriba mencionadas. Los asistentes a la edición de 2023 o 2024 quedan exentos de este trámite.
    • A aquellos alumnos que por propia voluntad anulen su matrícula con posterioridad al 20 de julio sólo se les devolverá el 50% del importe.

In FSMLRPH we treat the following information and with the following purposes:  

CONTACT FORM: Management of requests received.

REGISTRATION FORM: Manage the creation of the account to facilitate purchases through the website.

PURCHASE AS A GUEST" FORM: Processing of the order placed and invoicing of the same.

NEWSLETTER FORM: Manage subscribers to send special offers and exclusive advances on programming and the company's newsletter through any multi-channel medium (email, sms, postal mail, etc).
