Este exclusivo pack reúne tres reproducciones artesanales inspiradas en una de las obras maestras del arte medieval europeo: el Pórtico de la Gloria, realizado por el Maestro Mateo en 1188 para la Catedral de Santiago de Compostela. El conjunto incluye la reproducción del emblemático Pórtico de la Gloria de triple arco y dos de los grupos escultóricos más representativos de los célebres Ancianos del Apocalipsis, formando una colección única para los amantes del arte, la historia y la música medieval.
El Pórtico de la Gloria constituye la obra culminante del románico hispano y representa el puente hacia la escultura gótica. Arquitectónicamente se organiza en tres grandes portales, correspondientes a las naves de la catedral, y destaca por la extraordinaria riqueza iconográfica de sus más de doscientas figuras. En el tímpano central aparece Cristo en Majestad rodeado por los evangelistas, ángeles con los instrumentos de la Pasión y los bienaventurados, mientras que en la arquivolta superior se disponen los 24 Ancianos del Apocalipsis, representados afinando e interpretando diferentes instrumentos musicales en una de las escenas más célebres de la escultura medieval.
Este pack reproduce dos de esos grupos de músicos: los ancianos que interpretan un arpa y una fídula, y aquellos que ejecutan un organistrum, un singular instrumento medieval considerado precursor de la zanfoña. Estas figuras constituyen una de las representaciones musicales más importantes del arte románico y reflejan el extraordinario naturalismo y la sensibilidad artística alcanzados por el taller del Maestro Mateo.
Cada una de las tres piezas ha sido elaborada artesanalmente en nuestro taller de Ornamentos Arquitectónicos, prestando especial atención a la fidelidad respecto a la obra original. Se han reproducido cuidadosamente los detalles escultóricos, las expresiones de los personajes, los pliegues de las vestiduras, la ornamentación arquitectónica y los instrumentos musicales, consiguiendo un conjunto de gran calidad y valor artístico.
