Entre el amplio catálogo de monumentos románicos conservados en España destacan algunas zonas geográficas con iglesias que comparten unas peculiaridades propias. Esta homogeneidad puede deberse a la coincidencia de unas determinadas características constructivas, a la participación de los mismos talleres o a la circulación de unos modelos decorativos muy similares. Se crean de esta forma unos paisajes monumentales muy singulares dentro de nuestro románico. En este curso abordaremos seis de estos enclaves tan especiales, como son el conjunto de iglesias del Serrablo, el románico de Cinco Villas, la Ribeira Sacra, las construcciones de testero plano en el antiguo reino de León, las magníficas iglesias del entorno de Villavicioas y las construcciones en ladrillo de La Moraña y Arévalo. Todo ello complementado con dos excursiones en las que visitaremos varios templos románicos del norte de Palencia y de Burgos.
Como en ediciones anteriores, para facilitar la participación de un mayor número de alumnos se han programado dos convocatorias con idénticos contenidos, dirigidas ambas a un público muy amplio, desde investigadores y estudiantes universitarios hasta aficionados al arte románico en general.
